Confusion

You have to have literal wired CarPlay for this to work, if you don’t it won’t work. My 2021 Infiniti has wireless CarPlay. So it doesn’t work with it.

1. I took me sometime to setup. It feels cool to browse movies and other apps on firetv using a remote in car.2. Here is the trick: may not work over android auto, but gets connected through apple carplay it doesn't matter if you have an apple iPhone or not.3. You need to connect to your phone hotspot by changing hotspot to 12345678 password only (On apple carplay settings).4. Change network on your firestick device to phones network as you may try to set up in the car placed in front of your home with a home enable WiFi already on firestick.5. Drawback: You would not be able to use android play for browsing other apps like Google Maps or Waze (1 star deducted).

Potentially Useful, Check Compatibility First

The Carlinkit FireDrive Link lets you use a Fire TV Stick in your car via wired CarPlay to HDMI. Setup is supposed to be simple plug and play. It's a clever idea for expanding in-car entertainment. This device only works with the Fire TV Stick, so keep that in mind. The fit is great, and the device looks well built.Crucially, compatibility is a major factor. It didn't work with my 2016 Chevy Colorado, despite having wired CarPlay. Your compatibility my vary, no matter what you might ready. It might be great if it works for you, but it's useless if it doesn't.

Leider enttäuschend – Funktioniert nicht mit Skoda Enyaq

Ich habe den Carlinkit Adapter mit einem Skoda Enyaq und dem Fire TV Stick 4K MAX getestet. Leider bekomme ich nur den Setup-Bildschirm des Carlinkit angezeigt, aber keine Verbindung zum Fire TV Stick. Trotz mehrfacher Versuche und sorgfältiger Verkabelung bleibt das gewünschte Ergebnis aus.Ein großes Manko ist zudem die fehlende Flexibilität bei den Anschlüssen. Der Adapter bietet nur USB-A und wird lediglich mit einem USB-C-Adapter geliefert. Da mein Fahrzeug ausschließlich USB-C-Anschlüsse hat, musste ich zusätzlich einen Adapter besorgen – sehr umständlich und nicht zeitgemäß.Möglicherweise könnte ein Firmware-Update die Kompatibilität verbessern, aber aktuell kann ich das Produkt für Fahrzeuge wie den Skoda Enyaq nicht empfehlen. Schade, denn die Idee hinter dem Gerät ist vielversprechend!
